The 110kV Masi wind farm line is located in the Mahuang mountain, which belongs to the windy zone, and the maximum wind speed can reach more than 24m/s. Because the overhead power line is in the open air for a long time, it is vulnerable to the impact of bad weather, especially the wind. Under the action of wind, the conductor is in a state of vibration at all times, making one or more of the "stranded wires" broken. This phenomenon is common in overhead lines.
Recently, the routine inspection of the line maintenance department found that a single strand was broken 100 meters from the large side of the 110kV Masi wind farm line #24 tower. The strand breaking of the conductor not only affected the conductivity, but also greatly reduced its tensile strength, posing a great threat to the safe operation of the transmission line.
The line maintenance department seized the power failure opportunity of 110kV Masi wind farm line, carried out defect elimination work on the whole 110kV Masi wind farm line, organized a special meeting to discuss and formulate a defect elimination plan in combination with the relevant line operation specifications, and repaired the broken strand of 110kV Masi wind farm line by winding the protective strip.
The repair work of the broken strand of the conductor at 100m from the large side of the #24 tower of the 110kV Masi wind farm line has greatly improved the reliability and safety of the operation of the 110kV Masi wind farm line, and it is also a test and affirmation of the inspection and repair work of the line maintenance department.
